West End

Vancouver’s West End was originally developed for wealthy railroad families, and is still one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the country. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Coal Harbour, English Bay, and Stanley Park, the area encompasses trendy Robson Street, Davie Street’s gay village, and the city’s financial district. Annual events like the Honda Festival of Lights and the Vancouver Pride Parade draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to the West End each year. The demographic of the area is a mix of 20 and 30-something condo dwellers, and professionals in their 40s to 60s who inhabit the area’s stunning heritage homes and newer upscale developments.
